Three people have died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours. At the same time, 556 people have been admitted to hospitals.
This information was given in a notification sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (September 30). In the notification, the Directorate General of Health Services gave information for 24 hours from 8 am on Monday to 8 am today.
The Directorate General of Health Services said that 556 people have been admitted to various hospitals across the country including Dhaka due to dengue in the last 24 hours. Of these, 137 have been admitted in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 70 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 79 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 101 in Dhaka North City, 113 in Dhaka South City, 28 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 25 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation), and three each in Rangpur and Sylhet divisions (outside the City Corporation).
Meanwhile, 612 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals across the country in the last one day. With this, 44,796 people have been discharged this year.
All three of those who died in the past 24 hours are men. They are all residents of Barisal division.
The Department of Health said that a total of 47,342 patients have been admitted to hospitals since January this year. As of September 30 this year, 198 people have died of dengue.
